We already know from the previous article that there are six main categories of poker players: Tight Passive, Loose Passive, Tight Aggressive, Loose Aggressive, Maniacs, Solid. How do you play against a player who recognizes his type?
If you decide the player is Tight Passive. If a player is in this group, he probably plays very few hands and rarely plays aggressively, so he should play a lot of hands and aggressively, but whenever he is CALL or rarely BET, RAISE or RERAISE, know he probably has a very strong hand or combination, so watch out. Loose Aggressive strategy suits this player.
If you decide the player is Loose Aggressive. If a player is in this group, he probably plays a lot of hands, often CALLs and rarely plays aggressively, and when he plays aggressively he probably has a strong hand or hand, so watch out. Against this player is the Tight Aggressive strategy.
If you decide the player is Maniac. If a player is in this group, he probably plays a lot of hands and is very aggressive. This player must have a medium or strong hand or hand and play passively in CHECK / CALL as he will still pay in a super aggressive style.
If you decide the player is Tight Aggressive. If a player is in this group, he will probably play very few hands and will play aggressively when playing. A lot of hands and aggression should be played against this player, and when he plays aggressively, beware as he will likely have a strong hand or hand. Loose Aggressive’s strategy is against this player.
If you decide the player is Loose Aggressive. If a player is in this group, he probably plays a lot of hands and when he does, he plays aggressively. Therefore, this player should be trapped – CHECK / RAISE, CHECK / CALL and the like when he has a strong hand or hand.
If you decide the player is Solid. If you are a player in this group you need to have some very good poker skills, you need to look at your opponent’s strengths and weaknesses and develop and apply a strategy against him during the game.
